A drinking companion

Your nights. Your patterns. Your Mellow.

Snap your drink. See how the night is going. Over time, Mellow starts to understand how you drink.

Coming to the App Store See how it works

No numbers to stare at A state, not a score Private by design Estimates, clearly labelled

Tonight in Mellow, reading Buzzed. A black-and-white cat sits on the bar counter in front of back-lit bottle shelves and a night window, and the painted Night Tide — Clear, Light, Buzzed, Tipsy, Heavy — runs across the screen with Buzzed lit. Food, Water and Drinks sit above the Scan a drink and Water actions, with recent drinks below.

How it works

Three small things,
done properly.

Mellow does not ask you to become a spreadsheet. It asks for one photo and a little honesty.

Your night, as it happens

Start a night and everything you log lands in one place — drinks, water, food, and how the night is going. Nothing to set up, and nothing to keep tidy.

Photo first — then you decide

Take a photo and Mellow suggests what it is. You confirm or correct it, and the name you confirm is what gets logged. Mellow never quietly decides for you.

A state, and a cat

Your night reads as a state — Clear, Light, Buzzed, Tipsy, Heavy — and the Mellow cat reacts to how it is going. A word and a shape, not a gauge to optimise.

After a few real nights

After a few real nights,
Mellow starts to see your drinking style.

Enough logged nights and a shape starts to show up. Five valid nights is the earliest point Mellow will say anything at all — it is a threshold, not a promise, and Mellow stays quiet until the evidence actually holds. It reads a tendency in your nights, never a trait of you as a person, and never as advice to drink more.

Still Mixing is not a ninth style. It is Mellow saying there is not enough evidence yet, and meaning it. Each illustration above is the app's own Drinking Style artwork — the same one the app shows you, at its native 941 × 1672.

Safety and positioning

What Mellow is — and what it is not.

Mellow provides estimates based on what you log. It is not a breathalyzer and should never be used to decide whether it is safe to drive.

Mellow is a companion for noticing your own nights. It works from what you choose to log, so it can be wrong, incomplete, or simply not know. Where it is unsure, it says so.

  • Not a breathalyzer
  • Not a medical device
  • Not a safe-to-drive detector
  • Not a reason to drink more, faster, or at all

Privacy

Your nights stay yours.

Mellow is local-first. Your drink log, your estimates and your check-ins are stored on your device.

  • A photo leaves your device only when you choose photo recognition, and recognition does not run without your consent.
  • Mellow's servers do not keep your photos — the image is held only for the length of the request, then discarded.
  • What can be kept server-side is text a model read back, such as a drink name. Not the picture.
  • You can delete everything Mellow holds on your device, from inside the app.

Mellow is honest about the edges of this. Some builds also create a server-side account record, and the Privacy Policy says exactly what that contains, which processors are involved, and how to ask for deletion.

Same nights. A little more understood.
